Not partying, working.

Lack of electricity, computers and internet connection conspire to make updating the blog quite challenging.

Will update asap.

Don't worry dude. Compared to the comment 2 posts ago by people..I'm sure it's not like you can just walk into a job involving Law saying "yes, give me a high paid job, although i will be leaving for the Amazon within a year". It's a hard job world out there and also you'll want to do work that is fun for you, cos doing boring type of work really doesn't sound like you.

I remember how you seemed to hate being in the woods in the Winter and love it in the Spring and Summer, so I hope you go back to live in the woods when Winter has blown away again....cos it's what i find interesting - the ol experiences of you being in Chez Monkey!

Oooo this is long. I will stop. Joe

Ok so you're not going to work in Law- it's your choice -though it seems wasteful not to exploit your experience after the cost, effort and privilege of studying at one of the World's finest Universities.

However- have you considered entering the Guardian Netjetters competition. The above link is a previous winner who cycled/camped across the States with the aforementioned solar powered laptop. I expect your plan would equally appeal to the judges, and would bring further publicity to the cause.

At the very least it could yield some useful information if you contact Susan and swap notes on your plans.
