Critters

Apparently scratching insect bites is not a good thing to be doing in the jungle as this can cause infection resulting in all manner of unspeakable consequences. I am fortunate indeed that the other day I got bitten a great deal by some unknown insect, for the last day or two then I have been practicing not itching, not very successfully.

Yesterday I discovered that it is best not to inadvertently put a sleeping bag down on an ants' nest for a couple of hours before getting into it.

It took quite some time to get to sleep last night.

You can zap insect bites with a small piezo-electric gadget -- mine is yellow and has the brand-name Click. At many camping shops.
